Geography

 

There are 5 different regions

Coastal Plains (AKA Tidewater): it means a flat piece of land next to the ocean. It is located next to the Piedmont region.  It stretches from Massachusetts to Florida in the USA.

Piedmont: Piedmont means land at the foot at the mountain.  It is located between the Coastal Plain and the Blue Ridge Mountains. It stretches from New Jersey to central Alabama in the USA.

Blue Ridge Mountains: It is located next to the Piedmont and Valley and Ridge regions. It stretches from Georgia to Pennsylvania in the USA.

Valley and Ridge: It means Valley’s separated by ridges.  It is located next to the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Appalachian Plateau. It stretches from New York to central Alabama in the USA.

Appalachian Plateau: It is located next to the Valley and Ridge region.  It stretches from Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador through central Alabama in the USA.
